Students will learn how to more effectively use the camera to realize their creative vision. We will have five sessions in which we will create, print, mount & mat, and share our results with our friends and the community in a reception at the Roycroft Inn called "Coctails and Canvas."
Classes will be held at Norberg's Art & Frame Shop on the Roycroft Campus. Class size will be limited to twelve. The cost is $160 and includes all materials and instruction. A non-refundable deposit of $80 will secure your place. Scholarship assistance provided upon request.
An adjustable digital camera with owner's manual. The camera must have a Mode Control dial with "A, S, and M" settings. Please provide us with your camera model to ensure it is appropriate for the course.
Sunday, Sept. 10, 1-3 pm: "The Camera"
Operation, settings, and controls of the digital camera will be explained in detail and demonstrated.
Sunday, Sept. 17, 1-3 pm: "Effects of Controls"
This class will underline how the controls impact the image, and provide guidance when choosing settings for various applications.
Sunday, Sept. 24, 1-3 pm: "Exploring Editing, and Photo Safari on the Roycroft Campus"
We will look at post exposure editing for creative effect, and we'll take a trip around the Campus to take photographs.
Sunday, Oct. 8, 1-3 pm: "Presentation"
Miranda Kirchmeyer will present instruction on mounting, matting and framing, and the students will mount their own work.
Wednesday, Oct. 11, 6-9 pm: "Coctails and Canvas"
We will share our work with the public at this special reception at the Roycroft Inn Craftsman's Lounge.
